I just replaced the factory 2-way door speakers with 5" x 7" Alpine SPR-57C http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8551_Alpine+SPR-57C.html and man what a hugh difference these made in overall sound quality!  These are 4 ohms 100 watt rms continuous.  I am not amping them they are just running off the factory Shaker 500 HU.  Mid Bass and Highs are now present and 100% better than factory 2-ways that were replaced.

The Door panel is very easy to remove and the 8" subs in the lower door section are enclosed in their own housing.  I do not plan on replacing the factory subs as they provide plenty of base for my taste. Tools needed would be a panel trim tool, 7mm socket for the 7 door screws and a torx driver for the door latch and arm rest removal.  I connected the speakers to the existing factory harness by tinning the speaker wire and inserting the tinned wire ends into the factory speaker connector.  I then taped the speaker wire pigtail to the factory connector that I inserted the tinned speaker wires into making a very secure connection.
